Auriele Diotte is a graduate of Redeemer University College (2014) holding a B.A. in

Theatre Performance with minors in French and History.

In her final year she played a lead role in three separate productions; the fall mainstage production of Drama at Inish – an Irish play written by Lennox Robinson – in the role of Lizzie, the winter production of William Shakespeare’s Love’s Labour’s Lost – in the role of Princess of France, and an independent study production of Reason’s to be Pretty – written by Neil LaBute – in the role of Carly.

While she was developing her on stage skills and performing in many productions, both inside and outside of school, she was also developing her technical skills as an Auditorium Technician. She worked with the stage lighting, the lighting board, the digital sound board and the different audio systems throughout the school. She was also the Head Student Worker for three and a half years and also worked for two complete summers.

After university she was associated with Act One School of Drama for 5 years. First as a Theatre Summer Camp Counsellor and an Instructing Assistant then she was promoted to Camp Director and Instructor working with children ages 5-14yrs.

She was involved for two years with the Northumberland Players in Cobourg where she played lead roles in four productions; William Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night in the role of Lady Olivia, Waiting for the Parade written by John Murrell in the role of Eve (this production won many awards at the Eastern Ontario Drama Festival in 2017), Bob’s Your Elf written by Norm Foster in the role of Amber, and William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet in the roles of Lady Capulet & The Apothecary.

Acting training includes the Alza Acting Studio – 6 months Elite/Advanced film acting class

She is currently the owner of The Fairytale Factory and a character performer with many 5 star reviews.

Auriele is a registered Métis citizen. She has been a Métis Dancer for 12 years having danced at events for companies, volunteer organizations and communities alike; ranging from the Ajax Home Week, events with the Bahá’í Community, Oshawa Durham Métis Council Annual Heritage Weekend, World Religion Day and events for Members of Parliament.

Fun Facts:

Auriele has two younger biological brothers.

Her parents have been doing foster care for 22 years. 

Her family home currently consists of 3 cats, 5 dogs, 17 goats, ducks and many chickens.

Auriele enjoys editing fun videos, singing Disney songs in different languages, and watching the bonus features of any movie or television show – full commentaries included.

 

Winner of the “Monologue Competition” in 2013 at the Canadian Model and Talent Convention – contestants 12 and over.

Winner of the “Show Music Award” at the 2016 Oshawa-Whitby Kiwanis Music Festival.

Winner of the Stage Managers’ mini Oscar award, “Best Performance of a Powerful Woman without a Library” on the Northumberland Players production of Bob’s Your Elf in 2017. 😄
